Welcome to LostGeneralLee
Southern Coating and Nameplate

Born in 1978, Mark Osborne has been a life long Dukes of Hazzard fan. His collection of original scripts, signed photos, rare pics and collectible die-cast cars is impressive to say the least - but nothing compares to the thrill of owning the "Lost General Lee" for Mark. Mark grew up in Central Arkansas and owns a large printing company that his father established in the 1970s.

Mark is also a fan of other movie cars and building scale models. He attended Dukesfest in 2006 and 2007. Of all the Dukes, his favorite character is Rosco P. Coltrane and he owns several of James Best original paintings and Dukes Paintings.

INTERVIEW ADDED May 13th, 2007 - Lost General Lee sat down with Mark to run a few questions by him concerning Dukes, cars and the Lost General Lee - here was his response . . .

How long have you been watching "Dukes of Hazzard"?
Since around 3-4 years old, watched it with my mom.

How long have you wanted a general? Every since I was 4. Used to ramp
my bike in the front yard. All my plastic cars got broke from ramping it!

What is the best thing about owning a General Lee?
When the biggest ugliest 50 year old guy with 4 green teeth comes running up and says look momma it’s the General lee! Or when some guy says ya my neighbor has 3 of them that was used on the show in Georgia....(I wish!)

Whats the fastest you have had your General up too?
Dunno I was too worried about losing rosco!

Will it roast the tires?
Hell Yaaa!!!

Is your General part of the family?
No more like an evil step child, my dad and most of my close family are not dukes fans. Although... my daughter will be! Hehehe

Have you met any of the actors or stunt guys?
Actually I have met john Schneider (Bo) a couple of times and got to go fishing with James Best (Rosco). James was one of the nicest guys I have met, and look forward to more fishing with him. I have met Tom Sacramento and he is super nice and I was pretty good friends with rich sephton before he passed away..thats one guy I will always miss!

Do you think your General has a heart?
Actually there have been a few times the General has acted up and not ran right and after a prayer and a talk with the General we got home safe and sound. Sounds weird but it’s the truth.

What does your General love?
Gas...tons 93 octane gas!

Do you show the General?
O ya that’s the best thing to do on a Saturday or Sunday.

Do you drag race the General?
Not on the street but on the track. I have some plans this summer to see what the General can do!

Do you ever get people hating on you at shows?
It happens but it comes with the dukes..you either love it or hate it.

What would you say to the guys that are wanting a General but just cant get it right now?
Its worth the wait!
